Friso Witteveen

Friso Witteveen [Helmond, 1964] lives and works in Amsterdam
and got his education at the Design Academy in The Netherlands.

With great interest in the cross-over between the arts, architecture and
photography, Friso was already during his education invited to participate
in a diversity of projects.
His installations and projects are an artistic research based on his critical vision
on developments involving ‘global-issues’, always seeking public engagement.
Friso has made several large-scale works, site-specific and autonomous, on
location in India and The Netherlands. In addition to these large-scale works
Friso creates installations and ‘edited’ photo-works.

He exposed his work among others at 48° Public.Art.Ecology festival in Delhi,
the Kochi Muziris Biennale KMB in Kochi and the MoG Museum of Goa, India
and at DMO Amsterdam, TrouwAmsterdam, SCHUNCK* , Arti et Amicitiae in
The Netherlands.
